Hi there and thanks for checking out my website!
I was born in Kansas City and grew up in Blue Springs. My work in the transportation industry has taken me to several different states, but brought me back home to Blue Springs 17 years ago.
I am a firm believer that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, and my favorite thing in life is helping people. I strive to be a blessing to someone, somehow, everyday. I am very involved in my church, serving as an Elder and worship leader.
I have the best family and friends anyone could ask for, especially my amazing husband Rick, who has been my partner in life for almost 10 years. We have two adorable but ornery four-legged fur babies, Simon and Bruno. My hobbies include cooking, baking, singing, volunteering, attending my great nieces and nephews’ events and spending time with my friends and family. Flowers bring me joy, and although my yard is full of beautiful flowers from Spring to Fall, I cannot keep one alive inside the house for anything. I am an open book, naturally happy and positive; however I am a terrible liar, and it shows on my face, so I just don’t do it.
Professionally, I am currently the Secretary for the Jackson County Republican Party and I have been in the transportation industry for over 22 successful years. I have worked several simultaneous jobs to earn my undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Baker University. I earned my Masters of Science in Public Service Administration from the University of Evansville while working in Evansville as a Terminal Manger for Roadway Express. The University of Evansville owns Harlaxton College in England, so I was privileged to study there for a class. You should check it out, it’s pretty awesome.
I have had the opportunity to visit many places, do all sorts of fun, exciting things and some fairly important things. But the most important thing is yet to come, and that is the journey before me. That journey is to earn your trust and respect so that I may be your next State Representative for District 33. My passion for politics began when I was a child. My friends wanted to be models, wives, ballet dancers, policemen etc. and I wanted to be President of the United States. Obviously, that hasn’t happened, I let life get in the way. But I was a Park Commissioner for the City of Blue Springs and then became politically re-energized many years ago while volunteering at the GOP headquarters and then started attending Republican meetings, clubs and events. I soon realized that everything that is politically important starts at the State level. It sounds cliché’ to say I want to make a difference, but that is absolutely the truth. I have a passion for working to make our country great and believe I can help with that. I believe in our Constitution and the Republican platform. I will hold true to my values, ethics and morals and represent you, the People, to the best of my abilities.
Please reach out and say hello and if so inclined, I do accept donations! Thanks again for stopping by and I would appreciate your vote in 2024!
Blessings-
Carolyn
